Poor air quality could cost Valley hundreds of millions per year

Poor air quality comes at a cost not just to Valley residents’ lungs, but to their wallets.

If Valley cities do not bring their levels of ozone pollution down to meet standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA regulations will create about $108 million in negative annual economic impact by 2024, which could go up to about $252 million in impact by 2027.
