The death of a 21-year-old woman whose body was found at the baseball fields near 40th Street and Ray Road has been ruled a homicide, Phoenix police said.
Homicide detectives have taken over the case after it was confirmed by the Medical Examiner’s Office that Margaret Williams' December death was a homicide.
On Dec. 7, officers responded after Williams' body was found.
Detectives completed a death investigation after no obvious signs of trauma were noticed. The Medical Examiner’s Office responded, took over custody of the woman's body and later ruled the death a homicide.
Detectives encouraged anyone with information to reach out to Silent Witness 480-WITNESS where all tips will remain anonymous.
