On May 25, officers were dispatched at about 12:38 p.m. to the Wells Fargo, 1100 W. Queen Creek Road, on a robbery call.

The male suspect entered the business after following a female customer, Chandler police said. He passed a note to a teller demanding money, police reported, adding the teller provided an unknown amount of cash.

“The suspect placed the money into the pockets of his shorts and exited the business,” police stated in a release.

“The suspect was observed on video surveillance leaving in a vehicle. Utilizing investigative tools, video surveillance and tattoos, the suspect was identified.”

Police arrested Justin M. Sudweeks, 41, on May 26, in Peoria, according to a police report. He was booked on one count of robbery, a class 4 felony.

Chandler authorities said Sudweeks also was identified in Prescott and Prescott Valley through “attempt to locate” bulletins as a suspect in other robberies.
