Surprise detectives said Friday they have learned more about death of a 3-year-old girl found earlier this week at the bottom of a backyard pool.
The child and her mother were together at their home Tuesday in the area of 159th Drive and Monte Cristo Avenue, police said.
“The mother told our detectives that she, and her child, usually take a nap during the day. On this day, the mother did fall asleep. While the mother was asleep, the child accessed the backyard of the home,” police reported in a release.
