Police investigating 73-year-old man’s death in central Phoenix

A 73-year-old man died from injuries sustained from an incident that took place in central Phoenix on Aug. 4, police said in a release on Wednesday.

According to the release, Phoenix Police officers responded to a report of an injured man near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road about 10 p.m. Aug. 4.

On arrival officers found the man, later identified as Stephen Schultz, with obvious signs of trauma. Schultz was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives responded to the scene and conducted their investigation.
