Police investigate notebook full of threats at West Valley school

(Buckeye Police Department)

Buckeye police were called to Westpark Elementary School on Thursday after an 11-year-old boy was found with a notebook that contained threats directed at other students.

Officers responded just after 1 p.m. Jan. 8 and learned the student “had written the concerning statements based on a TV show he had seen,” police said.

Investigators contacted the families of all students involved, and no one is choosing to aid in prosecution, police said.
