Police ID motorcyclist killed in Thomas Road crash

Elijah Payton, 22, was identified Saturday as the motorcyclist who died in an April 10 collision near 35^th Avenue and Thomas Road.

The crash occurred just before 5 a.m., and Payton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates he was headed north on 35th Avenue when he failed to stop for a red light at Thomas Road and collided into the vehicle that was attempting to clear the intersection making a left turn to go east on Thomas, police said.
