Phoenix police detectives are investigating a homicide after a 35-year-old man was found dead Sunday near a canal in west Phoenix.
Police responded to call about an injured person just after 7 a.m. Oct. 23 in the neighborhood of 68th and Turney avenues, where they found Lee Trevizo, 35, dead next to a canal.
There were “obvious signs of trauma” on the victim, and homicide detectives took over the investigation.

Phoenix police detectives are investigating a homicide after a 35-year-old man was found dead Sunday near a canal in west Phoenix.
Police responded to call about an injured person just after 7 a.m. Oct. 23 in the neighborhood of 68th and Turney avenues, where they found Lee Trevizo, 35, dead next to a canal.
There were “obvious signs of trauma” on the victim, and homicide detectives took over the investigation.
