Police complete search at Peoria Unified district offices

After nearly a full work week of executing a search warrant, the Peoria Police on July 9 completed its work at the Peoria Unified Administration Center.

In a statement, the district said they appreciate the professionalism officers showed throughout the process, including their efforts to minimize disruption to facilities, which allows employees to resume full operations July 13 in preparation for the start of the new school year.

"We are grateful for our employees who were displaced this week; their flexibility and dedication kept the district's critical operations moving forward with minimal interruption," according to the statement. "Peoria Unified remains committed to full cooperation in this investigation, as we have been from the beginning. We look forward to the conclusion of this matter so our full attention can return to the students, families and community we serve."
