Police arrest suspect in East Valley light rail stabbing

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a Thursday night stabbing on Valley Metro light rail that left the victim hospitalized, Tempe police said Saturday.

Allante Wallace, who was arrested Friday, is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

On Feb. 12, officers responded about 9:20 p.m. to a light rail stop near East Apache Boulevard and South Dorsey Lane. Authorities said two women were arguing before the stabbing occurred.
