Scottsdale police have arrested two men authorities said were involved in a shooting that damaged businesses and vehicles early Saturday morning along Camelback Road.
Kumari Riley, 38, and Javon Masters, 21, face several charges, including endangerment and criminal damage, police said.
The incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, near 7400 E.ast Camelback Road. Officers working in Old Town heard gunfire and found three people attempting to leave the Indian Plaza area, police said.
During an initial investigation, guns were found in a nearby vehicle, and Riley and Masters were identified as two of the suspects involved in the shooting, according to a police department release.
“At this point in the investigation, it appears this was an isolated incident between two groups of individuals that started as a verbal altercation then escalated into a shooting,” police said in the release.
No one was injured.
Detectives are continuing their investigation, and more arrests are possible, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call 480-312-8477.
