Police appeal for information about ongoing vandalism at Glendale park

Damage at O’Neil Park estimated to be $12,000

Not very long ago, kids were bursting to try out the new equipment on a city park in south Glendale.

James T. O’Neil Park, which has been in the city parks system since 1961, was getting a huge makeover. Right around Thanksgiving in November 2022, volunteers from a number of civic organizations were putting the final touches on donated park amenities.

The Glendale Police Department’s Nick Susuras, who serves as Gateway Patrol Division commander, was talking with a construction superintendent nearby.
