Plenty of road, trail work in Chandler’s 2-year plan

Context often matters, as is the case with Chandler’s capital improvement plan. The $1.964 billion program is meant to be spread over a 10-year period.

The city says its about $300 million more than the prior 10-year capital improvement plan total of $1.665 billion.

The program, talked about during recent city budget discussions, provides additional funding for maintenance, accounts for inflation and aging infrastructure and the continued completion of remaining arterial streets.
