Player 1 Arcade brings family entertainment to Surprise

Popular new arcade doubles as bar

Thomas Earick was experiencing his first day at a video game arcade, but he learned the hard way not all games are easy.

“I just got completely destroyed,” the 19-year-old Surprise resident said, referring to the classic 1990s fighting game Mortal Kombat III.

So, he did what any reasonable person would do at a moment like that. He changed to something a little less challenging and played Ms. Pac-Man against his stepmom, Jennifer Smith.
