COVID-19 has changed the way many people will celebrate the holidays. But one thing sure to be on the menu are fireworks. They’re festive and fun, but also dangerous and sometimes illegal.
To make sure you stay safe and legal, the Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 6 – Queen Creek remind residents not all fireworks are legal in Arizona. Legal consumer fireworks include ground and sparkling devices.
If residents plan to use fireworks, keep in mind that firecrackers, bottle rockets, reloadable shell devices, aerials and single-tube devices shot into the air are illegal in Arizona, according to a press release from the Town of Queen Creek.
