A $1.1 million construction agreement was recently approved for the installation of 5,205 linear feet of a 16-inch bidirectional transmission main between Apache Junction Water District’s treatment plant and the sewer district.
The water district board, comprised of Apache Junction City Council members, voted unanimously on Aug. 15 to approve a construction agreement with Garney Cos. Inc. for the work costing $1,155,007.17. Board member Darryl Cross voted by phone.
It is from the city of El Mirage job order contract for water and wastewater projects, according to the construction agreement.
