When she refused, Cann is alleged to have killed her dog, leaving the body in the desert.

“After the incident, the victim led law enforcement to the desert where police found the deceased dog. The victim also provided law enforcement a video the defendant sent to her where he admits to killing her dog,” the release stated.

Cann is  being held in the Pinal County Jail on a $200,000 secured bond. His next court appearance is set for Aug. 25 in the Pinal County Superior Court in Florence.

The case is being investigated by the Eloy Police Department and will be prosecuted by the Pinal County Attorney’s Office Special Victims Bureau.
