Pinal County Development Services Department has new business hours in 2024

Posted

Effective Jan. 8, the Pinal County Development Services Department will be changing its business hours to 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

This applies to the Development Services Department only and does not extend to other county departments nor to Pinal County government as a whole, according to a release.

“This is being done to better serve our residents and customers by extending our daily hours,” Development Services Director Joe Ortiz said in the release. “We believe extending our hours gives people the option to seek out services and consult with our staff either before or after their workday.”

This schedule will not affect the development services building inspectors and public works quality assurance inspectors as they will still be available to do on-site inspections on Fridays.

In August 2023, Pinal County combined the Public Works and Community Development Departments into Development Services.

“Our vision in organizationally bringing the teams together is to increase support for one another and foster innovation, resulting in a greater experience for both the team members and the customers,” County Manager Leo Lew said at the time.
