Pinal County appoints Frisk as director of elections

Posted

David Frisk recently was hired as Pinal County’s new director of elections.

He comes to Pinal County from Kitsap County in Washington, where he worked as program manager for the Elections Division since March 2018, according to a release.

“My family and I have been looking to relocate to Arizona for some time so I am thrilled to have this opportunity to join Pinal County and to serve all of the citizens of Pinal as the elections director. Free, fair and secure elections are essential to the American way of life, and it is my honor to take on this responsibility,” Frisk said in the release.

Working for Kitsap County since 2015, a county with more than 278,000 residents, Frisk previously had the role of administrative manager for the county’s Licensing and Recording Division. Before entering public service, he worked for 25 years in the banking sector.

Frisk will lead a team of five focused on planning elections in Pinal County; ensuring they are secure, transparent, accessible, free and fair elections that inspire public confidence in the election system, the release states.

Frisk will report to Deputy County Manager Himanshu Patel.

“David’s leadership and extensive election-related experience aligned very well with the county’s needs. I look forward to David’s leadership of and contribution to our Elections Department, which provides critical services for the citizens of Pinal County,” Patel said in the release.
