Pinal County Animal Care and Control reports that its shelter is over capacity and is asking for the public's help in adoption dogs. Blitz has been at the shelter for more than a year.

Pinal County Animal Care and Control is reporting that its no-kill animal shelter has surpassed capacity and it is asking for the public’s help in adopting some of the dogs.
“We have taken in 35 dogs in just the past 48 hours. Only 11 dogs have left, leaving us at a deficit of 24 dogs,” Pinal County Animal Care and Control posted on its Facebook site. “The bigger problem is we were already over capacity by 44 dogs on Monday when the week started.”
According to the post, there are only 152 kennels in the facility for the current 214 dogs. Dogs are sharing kennels, and some are living in pop-up kennels in offices.
Pinal County Animal Care and Control is located at 1150 S. Eleven Mile Corner Road, Casa Grande. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday. Information: 520-509-3555.
