Picklemall opens Tempe location Aug. 5

Picklemall is set to open its first Arizona location in Tempe on Saturday, Aug. 5.

Picklemall, a modular indoor pickleball concept, will open its first U.S. location at Arizona Mills on Saturday, Aug. 5.
The 104,000 square-foot, 16 championship-style court facility will anchor the former At Home space on the east side of the shopping center near Ross, a press release explained.
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the U.S., experiencing 35% growth from August 2022 to March 2023, according to the Association of Pickleball Professionals.
Players can visit www.thepicklemall.com to reserve their court and set a playtime for their Picklemall experience. Players will also have the option to schedule a one-on-one or group coaching session with a pickleball pro.
Picklemall combines pickleball with technology to improve your game. Inside the court, gameplay will be recorded by a camera, giving players the ability to watch, analyze and learn from their game footage in real-time.
Led by CEO West Shaw and backed by pickleball enthusiast, billionaire financier and Major League Pickleball founder Steve Kuhn, Picklemall believes the future of the game is indoors — especially important as the Valley sees soaring summer temperatures and the popularity of the game continues to skyrocket, the release stated.
“As the world wonders what the next era will look like for mall spaces, bringing Pickleball to these properties was a no-brainer,” Shaw said in the release. “We’re excited to see how players enjoy our climate-controlled concept, but also excited to help bring a new sense of community to local shopping malls.”
Picklemall’s facilities will be open to leagues, clinics, open play, tournaments and drop-in games. Membership inquiries can be directed to memberships@thepicklemall.com for a limited-time offer through Aug. 12.
The Picklemall Pro Shop, located inside the Tempe location, will feature Picklemall-branded merchandise and professional pickleball equipment from facility partner JOOLA USA. The facility will also include options for equipment rental.
Picklemall at Arizona Mills is located at 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle, Suite 313. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
