Pickleball noise complaints come to roost in Paradise Valley

As pickleball continues to grow in popularity around the world, and courts are added to recreation centers and neighborhoods, some controversy has developed between neighbors and players.

One of those controversies started two years ago in the Town of Paradise Valley.

There are 36.5 million pickleball players in the United States, and it is the fastest growing sport for the last three years, according to a Pickleheads blog with compiled data from national associations. Brandon Mackie, co-founder and writer of Pickleheads, was once a competitive tennis player and now plays pickleball in Phoenix.
