With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis A. Hosking on September 23, 2025.
Phyllis worked for several years as a Legal Transcriptionist while living in the Detroit area, later moving to Las Vegas where she enjoyed working as a security guard at the Convention Center and various Casinos. Phyllis was an avid reader of mysteries and “who-done-it’s”, enjoyed working on puzzles and later took up coloring.
Phyllis is survived by her sister, Karen Spriggs (Chuck), daughters Lynn Hosking and Kathy Sampson (Allen), grandchildren Scott Sabo, Katie Sabo and Brian Malchow (Keesha), seven step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Albert and granddaughter Theresa Schroeder.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to ASPCA, GRRSN (Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Nevada), and Hospice of the Valley
