Many job-seekers in Phoenix are getting their job offers via delivery.
For the past three years, the city of Phoenix’s Mobile Career Unit has traveled to destinations around the city to help connect employers and employees. The buses help to speed up the hiring process, requiring companies to offer qualified candidates on-the-spot contingent job offers, pending a background check.
The Mobile Career Unit “condense[s] the hiring process from weeks to days,” Phoenix Program Manager Deb Furlong told the Phoenix Economic Development and Housing Subcommittee on Wednesday.
