Phoenix to open 20 pools this summer, though some only for a month

The city of Phoenix is opening 20 of its swimming pools this summer, up from 18 last year, though a few will only be open for part of the season.

The summer swim season opens this weekend and runs through July. Some pools will remain open through September, though only on weekends.

Telephone Pioneer pool will open this summer for the first time since 2020.
