Phoenix to observe city’s first Mental Health Awareness Month in May

The city of Phoenix will observe Mental Health Awareness Month for the first time in May.

City hall will be lit green every night of the month and the city will host events throughout the month as well as share mental health messages and resources on social media.

Councilmember Kesha Hodge Washington said it was a “much-needed program” when staff presented about Mental Health Awareness Month to a city subcommittee on Wednesday.
