A take on current times is coming to one Phoenix theater stage.
New Carpa Theater Co. presents “American Pastorela: The Trumpifornication Tour, 2.0,” at the Helen K. Mason Performing Arts Center, 1333 E. Washington St.
The satire follows the adventures of La Familia Hernandez of Altar, Sonora, a humble but politically astute border town, a theater press release explains. The family learns, thanks to a butt dial from Rudy Giuliani, that MAGA is planning another Capitol riot, this time in Phoenix. So they warn the world, or at least Maricopa County Democrats.
