Phoenix teen arrested for posting online threats against West Valley school

(Surprise Police Department)

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Jan. 23 in connection with online threats of violence toward Imagine Prep School in Surprise.

The Surprise Police Department received word of the social media post on Thursday, worked through the night to identify the suspect and took him into custody Friday without incident at his Phoenix home, authorities stated Saturday in a release.

The investigation later confirmed the juvenile was not a student at Imagine Prep, police said.
