Phoenix Sky Harbor to introduce AI app to assist blind and low-vision travelers

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will soon offer a free AI app to help blind and visually impaired people navigate the airport.

The app, ReBokeh, can read signs or give AI-generated image descriptions for passengers. Miami International Airport was the first in the country to offer the assistive app, but Phoenix is looking to become the first airport in the western U.S. to offer it.

It will also be available at the city of Phoenix’s two smaller airports: the Phoenix Deer Valley Airport and the Phoenix Goodyear Airport.
