Phoenix Sky Harbor struggling to hire enough taxis

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is having trouble hiring as many taxi cabs as airport officials would like.

Aviation staff put out a revenue contract solicitation in late June, hoping to hire two large companies, each with a 70-vehicle fleet, and two small companies, each with a 30-vehicle fleet.

However, the city-owned airport only received responses for the small companies and not for the large companies.
