Phoenix Sky Harbor plans to transition to providing its own Wi-Fi

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is transitioning to becoming its own public Wi-Fi provider.

The Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board Business and Development Subcommittee voted unanimously last week to approve a new contract with the current public Wi-Fi provider Boingo. The contract extends services for an additional year, through July 2026, with options to extend on a month-to-month basis after that until Sky Harbor can transition to an in-house service.

Airport staff have developed a transition plan with Boingo that it will execute during that year-long contract, to handover both the infrastructure and software to airport staff.
