Phoenix Sky Harbor avoids long TSA waits but ranks high in delays on Tuesday

Passengers at some U.S. airports in recent days had to wait in TSA lines for hours because of staff shortages, which officials blamed funding shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security.

Those national issues appear to have waned as of Tuesday, and wait times at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport remain short.

However, as of 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Phoenix is experiencing its highest share of the country’s delayed flights since the start of the weekend.
