Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport hires concessions consultants

Two firms will advise on food and drink, retail and other services

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport plans to spend $750,000 during the next five years to hire two consulting firms to assist with concessions at the airport.

One of the consultants, SI Partners Inc., will handle the financial side — financial data analysis, feasibility studies and operational reviews. The other, Unison Consulting Inc., will handle business programming and concessions trends, which involves market analysis, strategic support, planning out concessions space in the airport and drafting a concessions master plan.

The Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board Business and Development Subcommittee approved the two contracts with a 2-0 vote last week.
