Phoenix seeks $2.5M grant for eviction services

The city of Phoenix is seeking more funding to keep residents in their homes.

City council on Aug. 26 approved a grant request for $2.5 million for eviction services from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“Too many residents lack access to the resources they need to navigate the legal system and avoid losing their homes,” said Councilmember Betty Guardado ahead of the 8-0 vote of approval.
