Phoenix projects north of city will see most growth, council member worries city fees could hinder that

City of Phoenix staff projects the city’s northern area will have the most growth over the next decade.

During the next decade, the northernmost neighborhoods of Phoenix will see 40.5% of the city’s growth in residential development and 32.1% of nonresidential development, according to a forecast from an economic consulting firm hired by the city.
