Phoenix preps for Super Bowl showcase

Downtown gets major events, officials say

The day after the 2022 Super Bowl in Los Angeles, the first handoff of next year’s NFL season was made.

During a ceremony that Monday, Feb. 14, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the Los Angeles Super Bowl Committee handed a ball to Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill, long-time Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald and the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee.

“As we all know, Arizona is on the clock,” said Devney Preuss, president and CEO of Downtown Phoenix Inc., during the group’s meeting last week.
