Phoenix activates speed-monitoring cameras at 9 sites

A traffic camera helped the city of Phoenix and Arizona State University collect and analyze traffic data. Phoenix will soon activate cameras at several locations.

Phoenix's Photo Safety Program begins Feb. 23 with a 30-day warning period.

Drivers who violate speed limits will receive notices, but beginning Wednesday, March 25, citations will be issued for speed violations over the posted limits.

The city has placed 17 speed-monitoring cameras at nine locations throughout Phoenix.
