Phoenix police yet to release records on stun bags

The Phoenix Police Department’s ban on stun bags deployed by officers didn’t come after lawsuits claiming any injuries.

A city spokesman said the city had not seen any lawsuits as a result of the department’s use of the bags, which ended abruptly last year.

In late November, Phoenix Police announced it would permanently discontinue the use of stun bag shotguns after suspending the bean bag munitions program in mid-October.
