Phoenix police shoot, kill man armed with gun

Phoenix police officers shot and killed a man who they say pointed a gun at them shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Police were in the area of 7th Avenue and McDowell Road about 10:15 a.m. April 29 attempting to contact a man with felony warrants. Days earlier, he had been involved in an aggravated assault on a Tolleson officer, police said.

Officers found the man and identified him as the wanted person.  His identity has not been released.
