As part of the ongoing commitment to transparency with the community it serves, the Phoenix Police Department is seeking public input on five policy revisions.
Ensure law enforcement actions involving less-than-lethal tools are carried out by trained officers.
Guideline, deployment and documentation related to the use of less-than-lethal tools.
Include the addition of REPULS and Taser 10.
Include specific medical aid considerations when tools have been used.
The public input and comment period end on Friday, Oct. 31. The public is invited and encouraged to review the policies and submit feedback using the “click here to provide feedback” button at the bottom of the draft policy.
All comments will be reviewed and taken into consideration before the policies are finalized.
