Phoenix police officer, suspect injured in Peoria shooting

A shooting Friday morning sent a Phoenix police officer and a suspect to a hospital.

The Jan. 5 shooting occurred near 87th Avenue and Bell Road, police said.

The officer's injuries are consider non-life threatening, according to a release.
