Phoenix police look for answers in fatal hit and run

A 39-year-old man died Wednesday in a hit-and-run collision in west Phoenix, and police are seeking answers through Silent Witness.
Police responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road about 7:45 a.m. Nov. 15 for a serious collision. Officers found Ray Welch, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene west on Buckeye Road, police said.

A 39-year-old man died Wednesday in a hit-and-run collision in west Phoenix, and police are seeking answers through Silent Witness.
Police responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road about 7:45 a.m. Nov. 15 for a serious collision. Officers found Ray Welch, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene west on Buckeye Road, police said.
Detectives said they learned Welch was walking across Buckeye Road outside of the marked crosswalk when he was hit.
Anyone with information is asked to call into Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
