Phoenix Police investigate thefts of copper, bronze from two sites

Phoenix Police are investigating two burglaries that took place two weeks apart in east Phoenix according to a news release on Tuesday.

According to the release, unknown suspects entered a cemetery Aug. 12 near 2000 N. 48th St. and removed 17 bronze name plaques valued at approximately $25,000.

On Aug. 26, two suspects burglarized a church in the 5000 block of East Thomas Road where additional copper/bronze items were taken.
