INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
A 47-year-old man died after being shot Monday night near 13th Street and Cinnabar Avenue, Phoenix police said Wednesday.
William Broomfield was pronounced dead at a hospital after police found him with at least one gunshot wound about 4:20 p.m. March 18.
Officers identified the suspect in the shooting at Robert Roach, 33, and he was arrested near the scene, police said.
An investigation is continuing, but preliminary information “suggests that Roach committed an armed robbery of the victim during which the victim was shot,” police stated in a release.
