Phoenix Police Chief Matt Giordano on Wednesday gave a video statement about the two Phoenix officers under criminal investigation.
“The allegations are serious, and they do not reflect the standards we expect or the values the public deserves,” Giordano said in a video shared by the department.
On Monday, the department stated in a news release that two officers are now on administrative leave after community members alleged criminal conduct against them. The officers conducted a traffic stop in which force was used but not reported as required by policy, the release stated.
