A 54-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a Wednesday crash that killed a pedestrian near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix, police said.
Graciela Gracia-Marquez was identified as the driver of the vehicle involved, and she was booked into jail for leaving the scene of a collision involving a death, according to a release.
The collision occurred about 4:35 a.m. Nov. 8 in the 3500 block of West Camelback Road where officers found Habimana Ciza, 29, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Ciza was taken to a hospital where he died.

Graciela Gracia-Marquez was identified as the driver of the vehicle involved, and she was booked into jail for leaving the scene of a collision involving a death, according to a release.
The collision occurred about 4:35 a.m. Nov. 8 in the 3500 block of West Camelback Road where officers found Habimana Ciza, 29, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Ciza was taken to a hospital where he died.
“The driver of the car left the scene and was later contacted after an extended investigation,” the release stated, adding an investigation continues.
