Phoenix police arrest man in fatal shooting

Phoenix police detectives arrested a 46-year-old man Tuesday in a deadly shooting near 3100 West Washington Street.

The shooting occurred just before 8 a.m. Dec. 19. David Cordova, 29, was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Patrol officers followed up on information and identified Henry Celaya as the suspect, according to a release. Police also learned he was at a residence near 33rd Avenue and Washington Street.

He was arrested without incident and booked into Maricopa County Jail, police said.
