Phoenix plans to spend $11.5B on capital projects over five years

The city of Phoenix plans to spend $11.5 billion during the next five years on 966 capital improvement projects, including $2.8 billion in the upcoming fiscal year.

The proposed plan includes $387 million still to spend from the $500 million in general obligation bonds voters approved in November 2023.

“This is kind of like our road map in investments and infrastructure across the city over the next five years,” City Manager Jeff Barton told councilors during a budget presentation last week.
