Phoenix plans to buy last gas-powered bus by mid-2024

Bus fleet electrification plans threatened by Prop. 400 sunsetting

By June 2024, the city of Phoenix will have purchased its last fully gas-powered bus amid plans to transition its fleet to zero emissions by 2040.

However, those plans, as well as many others tied to transportation in the state, could be in jeopardy if transportation funds from Proposition 400 are not renewed beyond 2025.
