Phoenix plans 64-unit affordable housing building downtown

The city of Phoenix plans to sell a property in downtown to add a 64-unit affordable housing building.

The Economic Development and Housing Subcommittee unanimously approved the sale during its March meeting. It now goes to the full city council for approval.

“I’m very excited to see affordable housing coming to the downtown area. We know that’s one of the requests that we repeatedly hear from our community,” said Councilmember Hodge Washington during the subcommittee meeting.
